Announcement: NeuroBiological Practical Course - Hearing will take place in March 2024!!

After a few somewhat complicated years, we have the pleasure of announcing that the 30th NeuroBiological Practical Course / Hearing will be held in 2024. We would be happy to welcome you from March 18-22, 2024 for this event.

Registration is open to anyone wishing to become acquainted with basic methods in modern hearing research.

We are delighted to announce that the ENT Department at Tübingen has been awarded the prestigious MSCA Doctoral Network grant for the CherISH project. CherISH, an acronym for Cochlear implants and spatial hearing: Enabling access to the next dimension of hearing, is set to revolutionize spatial hearing rehabilitation techniques for CI users.

event - Altern mit allen Sinnen – wie kann das gelingen?

Am 8. Oktober lädt das Universitätsklinikum in die Tübinger Klinik für Hals-, Nasen- und Ohrenheilkunde zum Tag der Sinne 2022 ein. An dem Aktionstag kann von 10:30 bis 15 Uhr rund ums Hören, Sehen, Riechen und Schmecken entdeckt und erkundet werden. Die Veranstaltung in der Elfriede-Aulhorn-Straße 5 wird gemeinsam von der Klinik für Hals-, Nasen- und Ohrenheilkunde, der Augenklinik, dem Forschungsinstitut für Augenheilkunde und der Klinik für Psychiatrie ausgerichtet.

Die Menschheit wird immer älter und die Frage, wie man gesund altert, immer wichtiger. Insbesondere die Erkrankungen der Sinnesorgane – der Augen und des Gehörs – zählen weltweit zu den häufigsten und stark belastenden Erkrankungen.

Mit zunehmendem Alter werden die Sinne weniger scharf und beeinträchtigen den Alltag und die Art der Kommunikation. Im schlimmsten Fall können sensorische Störungen zu Isolation und Depressionen führen und sogar das Risiko für Demenz signifikant erhöhen. Wenn man sich der Risiken für Sinneserkrankungen bewusst wird, ist dies bereits der erste Schritt für eine erfolgreiche Prävention.

Programm am 8. Oktober von 10:30 bis 15 Uhr

Der Vormittag startet mit einer Vortragsreihe zu Themen wie Hörverlust als Risikofaktor für Demenz, Einfluss des Alters auf Geruch und Geschmack, Schwindel im Alter, Sehen bis ins hohe Alter und viele mehr.

Eine Ausstellung im Békésy-Foyer der Klinik mit Teststationen und Videos erwarten die Besucherinnen und Besucher. Hier kann mit den Fachleuten aus der Neurosensorik diskutiert werden.

Im ganzen Klinikum gilt die Pflicht zum Tragen einer FFP2-Maske.

Tag der Sinne 2022

Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hals-Nasen-Ohren-Heilkunde, Kopf- und Hals-Chirurgie ruft zusammen mit der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Geriatrische HNO-Heilkunde und in Kooperation mit dem Deutschen Berufsverband der HNO-Ärzte in der Woche von 1. bis 8. Oktober 2022 zu einem Aktionstag „Tag der Sinne“ auf. Das Schwerpunktthema “Altern mit allen Sinnen – wie kann dies gelingen?“ weist auf die große Bedeutung von Sinnesstörungen in der zunehmend älter werdenden Bevölkerung hin. Gleichzeitig soll diese Veranstaltung dazu beitragen, dass HNO-Ärzte von der Öffentlichkeit als wichtiger Ansprechpartner für Erkrankungen im Alter wahrgenommen werden. https://tagdersinne.de/
